Provision of Information to Members of the Oireachtas
In accordance with the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform Circular 25/2016, the Office of the Inspector of Prisons provides a dedicated facility to address the queries of Oireachtas members and to receive feedback.
Members of the Oireachtas who wish to seek information from the Office of the Inspector can contact us through our dedicated email address: [email protected].
Our target deadlines for responding to queries from Oireachtas members are:
- Acknowledgement: 3 working days
- Substantive reply: 15 working days
We will carry out periodic surveys to obtain feedback from Oireachtas members who avail of this service. We also invite members of the Oireachtas to provide us with feedback by email [email protected].
In the spirit of Open Government Partnership, the Office of the Inspector of Prisons will seek, where appropriate, to publish the response to queries from members of the Oireachtas on our website.
