The Office of the Inspector of Prisons (OIP) is seeking Expressions of Interests (EOI) to join our Expert Panel. The panel includes experts from across a wide range of relevant disciplines.
At present, prison inspections are carried out by the OIP in accordance with A Framework for the Inspection of Prisons in Ireland (2024).

Who We Are Looking For
We welcome Expressions of Interest (EOI) from professionals in the following fields:
Healthcare –Medical practitioners, Psychology/Psychiatry, Nursing, Addiction Specialists
Detention Specialists – Experience in managing or monitoring places of deprivation of liberty.
Legal Experts – Specialists in human rights law, penal policy, and international standards.
Social & Cultural Services – Experts in rehabilitation, social work, and cultural advocacy.
